These are a very smart pair of desk chairs. I love period office furniture. There is something elegant but at the same time manly about it. These chairs date to the 1920s and are made in ash. The seats look to be in leather, (it polished up to a shine like leather) with turned spindle backs and bentwood arms. There is a lot of shape in these chairs. The turned stretchers show signs of old wear. They are solid and comfortable and it is nice to see them in a pair. Minor I do mean minor!!!!!! crack to back rail on back - see photo. These are very good chairs. They will look good around a period desk in a home office or study. Each chair seat is 18 inches high and the back is 29.5 inches high and it is 20.5 from outside arm to outside arm.
