Edwardian Beech & Red Leather Revolving Office Desk Chair (Circa 1910). Here is a fine quality antique English Edwardian beech revolving office armchair, circa 1910, which has been newly upholstered, in excellent condition. The chair features a curved bar back, connected to wrap around arms, supported by an elegant splayed vertical fan back. The chair has been newly upholstered with top quality full grain red leather padded seat, which has been finished with brass studs to the perimeter. The underside of the seat has been re-webbed in the traditional manner. The chair sits on four splayed beech legs that terminate on the original steel castors. The chair rotates 360 degrees the seat height can be adjusted by turning a ribbed metal screw on the underside of the chair. The chair mechanism has been restored and serviced and is in excellent working order. This item features a rich golden brown colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. This item would look superb in a variety of rooms in the home, especially the office or study as it so comfortable. This item would certainly grace any home. The tension of the reclining action can be adjusted by turning the wheel at the front of the mechanism and the chair can be raised or lowered on the central steel thread. The chair features its original steel castors, which are also in good condition. Importantly, there are no breaks to the back, arms or legs. As the chair boasts its original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
