A very grand and well made piece, these first came to life as an office prayer chair, you could turn around and resting your arms on the back rest put your hands together and pray, as a side effect the chairs became exceptionally popular due to them being so comfortable. The frame is solid hand carved mahogany, its been dowelled internally to add rigidity and protect the frame, these types of chairs, as they are so large always have a little play but this one is in good form, the seat base is a period coil sprung affair, everything is hand nail tacked in place using antiqued studs, really truly amazing. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses SW19-3BE, we can have it delivered nationwide to include Scotland Wales and Ireland.
